What is RSS?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a simple and effective way to keep updated automatically on your favourite website or websites. The traditional way is to log on to your favourite site such as SupportWorld.co.uk and then access the news section and reading the latest articles. But with RSS this is done for you through a single source - an RSS reader.
What is an RSS Reader?
There are a number of RSS readers available for download on the web or for a free web-based subscription. The reader allows the user to view the RSS feed from the respective website. We have tested the RSS feeds not only through browsers such as Firefox but also the feedreader and rssreader readers. Users using Mac OS X may want to try Newsfire at www.newsfirerss.com.
How do I use RSS?
RSS is simple to use and can be done in one of two ways; One option is to install an RSS Reader as listed above. Once you have installed the reader to your machine you then just add the different news feeds into your reader. In the case of SupportWorld you need to paste http://www.supportworld.co.uk/rss.asp into the reader to start receiving the latest news updates. You can also choose to view feeds via a browser such as Safari (on a Mac) or Firefox. These browsers allow you to add the feed as a live bookmark
